My patience and determination shine in the workplace. I work hard but with little complaint, and I see things through until the end.
Whether writing blogs or books, SmartBox writer Rebekah Carroll packs some serious chops. And that’s not just about her writing skills – she has an unmatched work ethic, dedication to her craft and persistence.
There’s no other way to explain someone who can earn a master’s degree in Secondary Language Arts Education from Indiana University (Southeast) with a 4.0 grade-point average, all while working full time AND raising an infant and a toddler. It’s not surprising, though, given that she graduated magna cum laude with her bachelor’s degree.
“I believe my patience and determination shine in the workplace,” Rebekah said. “I work hard but with little complaint, and I see things through until the end.”
Prior to joining SmartBox, Rebekah Carroll worked at the New Albany (Ind.) Animal Shelter and Crothersville (Ind.) Jr./Sr. High School. While different, she said the two jobs (and being one of seven children) taught her similar things – things that make her valuable to SmartBox clients.
“Each job required me to work independently,” said Rebekah Carroll, who is also a birth doula. “This taught me a lot of work ethic and perseverance because I have never been able to pass the job on to someone else. I also learned a lot about people and how to give my best to the people I’m interacting with.”
