NEW ALBANY, IN — What do your employees think of your company? SmartBox, a New Albany-based company that helps dentists thrive, has been named by employees as one of the best places to work in the Louisville metropolitan area.
SmartBox was recently featured in Louisville Business First’s Best Places to Work list, along with 24 other Louisville and southern Indiana companies. This is second time in two years that SmartBox has been included on the local list, which is determined solely on employee feedback.
“We are constantly finding new ways to engage our team members and improve what is already a stellar workplace,” said Colin Receveur, CEO of SmartBox. “SmartBox team members here are all experts in their field and help move us forward each and every day. It’s because of them that we continue to see record profits.”
The Best Places to Work survey was distributed to each full-time SmartBox team member. The survey was anonymous and administered by the data analysis company Quantum Workplace. SmartBox had nearly 100 percent participation in the survey and more than 100 comments.
Quantum Workplace puts each response in four categories: engaged, contributing, disengaged, or hostile. The survey results showed that 85 percent of all SmartBox employees who participated in the survey were engaged, and no one was considered hostile or disengaged.
SmartBox will be recognized during a special ceremony Thursday, Aug. 3. Additionally, a profile on SmartBox will be included in Louisville Business First’s Aug. 4 weekly edition. The Louisville Business First’s Best Places to Work is the second such award SmartBox has received this year. The company was named by Inc. Magazine as one of the Best Workplaces in the country.
Receveur, who started SmartBox in 2001, said the company has unveiled a number of initiatives to improve the employee experience. Those benefits include unlimited paid time off for salaried employees, generous 401(k) contributions, profit-sharing, and flex time for all employees.
