In the 30 or so years that Dr. Dick Davenport has been in practice, the city of Laredo TX, has experienced explosive growth. It’s currently one of the 10 fastest-growing cities in the U.S. But Dr. Davenport’s new patient numbers didn’t keep pace with the city’s growth, and so he turned to SmartBox.

Most dentists in private practice are content with a single location. Dr. Davenport dreamed bigger, and opened a second location. But the new practice wasn’t getting enough new patients to sustain growth. His team had plans to open a second practice, increase new patient flow, and work with a company that really understands dentistry — beyond that, they had strategic goals of increasing trust with their current and future patients, as well as, to increase case acceptance.

“Before we went live with SmartBox, we had one practice location. And, at that time, we were getting about 20 new patient opportunities a month. Now, eleven months later, we have two practice locations, and we’re averaging about 70 to 75 new patient opportunities a month. So it’s been a big increase for us, and it’s all due to the targeted marketing that SmartBox has done for us.
Our second practice location was built with the intention of accommodating two doctors. Right now my son, Dr. Matt, is at the second location. As with any new practice we’re always looking for more new patients, and SmartBox has worked very well with us, and very hard for us to try to learn how to target the type of patients that we need to each of our locations. And we think, really within a relatively short period of time, we’ll be able to add the second doctor at the second location.”
